Welcome to our first season!

Following the sellout success of the test screening in June, we will officially be launching on Monday 29th September, 2008. We will be showing a different film on the last Monday of every month and the first film in the programme will be Son Of Rambow.

Son Of Rambow

Released in the UK in April this year Son Of Rambow (cert 12A) is a comedy-drama set on a long English summer in the early ‘80s. This is a film about friendship, faith and the tough business of growing up. "Wildly funny" said Film Journal International; Giant Magazine said "Makes you feel like a kid again".

Son Of Rambow will be shown on Monday 29th September, at the Church Rooms, Church Lane, Lostwithiel. Doors and the bar will be open from 7:00pm, film screening 8:00pm.

The Darjeeling Limited

The film for October will be The Darjeeling Limited (Cert 12A).  Starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman, this is an emotional comedy about three brothers re-forging family bonds.  Directed by Wes Anderson, the creator of RUSHMORE and THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS, Rolling Stone said, "I love this movie - one of the best of the year" and Total Film called it "Funny, smart and poignant....".

The Darjeeling Limited will be shown on Monday 27th October, at the Church Rooms, Church Lane, Lostwithiel. Doors and the bar will be open from 7:00pm, film screening 8:00pm.

Tickets

Tickets for both films will be on sale from 2nd September for £4 each from Watts Trading, Fore Street, Lostwithiel, or on the door - if not sold out beforehand. So get in early as tickets for the test screening sold out within a couple of weeks.
