Our February film was La Vie En Rose, a portrait of the life of French icon, Edit Piaf. Starring Marion Cotilliard and Gerard Depardieu, La Vie En Rose traces Piaf’s life from the streets of Paris to the limelight of New York’s concert halls. Marion Cotilliard won the Academy Award ®, BAFTA and the Golden Globe Award ® for Best Actress for her stunning performance in this film. In French with English subtitles.

The Times said “a technically accomplished performance”, Rolling Stone said Cotilliard “gives a performance for the ages”.

La Vie En Rose was shown on Monday 23rd February, at the Church Rooms, Church Lane, Lostwithiel.
