Bridge of Spies (12A)

Monday 28th November 2016

Doors and bar open 7pm, film starts 8pm

Our November main film will be Bridge of Spies...

Based on true events during the Cold War, an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court, and then help the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.

'When all the international parties finally meat up at the shadowy titular bridge, we get to witness humanity- and classic film making - at it's finest.' Mara Reinstein, US Weekly.

When a film is as enjoyable as this one, it's timing so sweet, it's atmosphere so conjured with such skill, do you really wish to register a complaint? Would it help?' Antony Lane, New Yorker.

Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for under 18s, and are available online now or in advance from Watts Trading or on the door if not already sold out.
